What is the Harrison Spinks Radiant 15000 Pillowtop?

The Harrison Spinks Radiant is a luxury Turn-Free Pillowtop mattress designed for customers who want exceptional comfort without compromising on support.

Unlike a removable topper or mattress enhancer, the integrated Pillowtop forms part of the mattress itself. This creates a deeper, more immersive sleeping surface that allows you to sink gently into the comfort layers while remaining fully supported by Harrison Spinks' advanced spring technology.

The result is a luxurious sleeping experience that combines responsive support with outstanding pressure relief.

15,000 Springs for Exceptional Support

The Harrison Spinks Radiant features an advanced 15,000 individually responsive spring system, combining several innovative Harrison Spinks technologies.

Cortec™ Quad Revolution® Pocket Springs

At the centre of the mattress is Harrison Spinks' Cortec™ Quad Revolution® pocket spring system.

Each spring responds independently to body weight and movement, adapting naturally to your body while helping reduce movement transfer between sleeping partners.

The innovative glue-free Cortec™ Quad Revolution® design also supports Harrison Spinks' environmentally responsible manufacturing process.

HD 2000 Micro Springs

Positioned within the core mattress, HD 2000 Micro springs provide additional contouring support and responsive comfort.

HD 3000 Micro Springs

The HD 3000 Micro springs add another responsive comfort layer, helping improve body contouring and pressure distribution.

Dual HD 4000 Micro Springs

Within the integrated Pillowtop are dual layers of HD 4000 Micro springs.

These highly responsive spring layers create the luxurious sensation of sleeping "in" the mattress while providing exceptional pressure relief and body contouring.

Posturfil Pocket Springs

Additional Posturfil pocket springs work alongside the Cortec™ Quad Revolution® and HD Micro spring layers to provide balanced support throughout the mattress.

Together these advanced spring technologies create the sophisticated 15,000-spring construction that defines the Radiant.

Luxury Integrated Pillowtop

The defining feature of the Harrison Spinks Radiant is its luxurious built-in Pillowtop.

Unlike conventional pillow tops that simply sit above the mattress, Harrison Spinks has designed the Radiant so you sleep within its sumptuous comfort layers rather than simply on top of them.

The Pillowtop contains:

  • British wool & viscose blend
  • British wool blend
  • Cotton, hemp & flax blend
  • Dual HD 4000 Micro spring layers
  • HD 3000 Micro springs

This carefully engineered construction delivers exceptional cushioning while maintaining excellent posture support and long-lasting resilience.

Naturally Breathable Comfort Fillings

The Radiant combines innovative spring technology with carefully selected natural upholstery.

British Wool & Viscose

British wool naturally regulates temperature and manages moisture, while viscose adds softness and luxurious comfort.

British Wool

Additional British wool layers provide excellent insulation, resilience and natural breathability.

Cotton, Hemp & Flax

Natural cotton encourages airflow while hemp and flax help wick moisture away from the body, creating a cooler, fresher sleeping environment.

Sustainable Ecotex

The Sustainable Ecotex comfort layer adds further cushioning while supporting Harrison Spinks' environmentally responsible manufacturing philosophy.

Together these premium natural materials provide luxurious comfort without relying on thick conventional foam comfort layers.

Turn-Free Convenience

The Harrison Spinks Radiant has been designed as a Turn-Free mattress.

There is no need to flip the mattress over. Simply rotate it from head to toe at regular intervals to help maintain even wear and maximise its lifespan.

This allows you to enjoy the luxury of the integrated Pillowtop without the maintenance associated with traditional double-sided mattresses.

Choose Your Mattress Tension

The Harrison Spinks Radiant is available in:

  • Soft – luxurious cushioning with gentle contouring.
  • Medium – balanced comfort and responsive support.
  • Firm – enhanced support with a firmer sleeping surface.

Selected sizes are also available with split tension options, allowing couples to choose different comfort levels on each side of the mattress.

Chemical Treatment-Free Mattress Cover

The Radiant is finished with Harrison Spinks' in-house woven FR chemical treatment-free mattress cover.

The naturally wool-rich cover complements the breathable comfort layers while avoiding additional chemical fire-retardant treatments.

Traditional three rows of side stitching reinforce the mattress border, improving durability, edge support and maintaining its premium handcrafted finish.

Handcrafted in Yorkshire

Every Harrison Spinks Radiant mattress is handcrafted in Yorkshire using responsibly sourced natural materials and Harrison Spinks' award-winning spring technology.

Harrison Spinks grows many of its own natural comfort fillings, manufactures its own innovative spring systems and weaves its own fabrics in-house, ensuring exceptional quality from farm to finished mattress.

Why Choose the Harrison Spinks Radiant?

The Radiant is ideal for customers looking for:

  • A luxury British-made Pillowtop mattress
  • A sophisticated 15,000-spring support system
  • Exceptional pressure relief
  • Advanced Cortec™, Posturfil and HD Micro spring technology
  • Naturally breathable wool, cotton, hemp and flax
  • Turn-Free convenience
  • Sustainable British craftsmanship
  • A sleep experience that feels immersive and luxurious

Radiant vs Classic Plus

The Harrison Spinks Radiant 15000 and Classic Plus 2750 both provide enhanced comfort, but they achieve it in different ways.

The Classic Plus includes a removable 5,000 pocket spring mattress enhancer, allowing the comfort layer to be flipped and rotated independently.

The Radiant, by contrast, features a fully integrated Pillowtop with dual HD 4000 Micro spring layers and HD 3000 Micro springs, creating a deeper, more luxurious sleeping surface designed to make you feel as though you're sleeping within the mattress itself.

Customers looking for the ultimate integrated luxury experience will generally prefer the Radiant, while those who value the flexibility of a removable comfort layer may prefer the Classic Plus.

Pair with a Harrison Spinks Divan Base

The Harrison Spinks Radiant can be paired with a suitable bed frame or divan base.

For the complete Harrison Spinks sleep system, pair it with a Harrison Spinks True Edge pocket sprung divan base, creating a supportive foundation that complements the mattress's advanced spring technology.

Customers Questions and Answers

Purchasing a new mattress isn't something we do every day, so when we decide to spend our hard earned cash it's very exciting and just like any new parcel that arrives, you'll want to open and use it straight away.

However, should you be sleeping on your brand new mattress right away?

Can you sleep on a new mattress straight away?

The simple answer is, no. Most mattress labels, especially a rolled mattress, it will state it's not supposed to be used within the first 24 hours, which as a rule is the recommended time you should wait after opening your brand new mattress - this is for good reason. After you've spent your hard earned cash on a sumptuous new bed, the last thing you would want to do is damage it, sleeping on it straight away could do just that.

Why wait to sleep on your new mattress?

Often, new mattresses will come rolled or compressed for delivery so it will need to expand to it's full usable size before you sleep on it. The process of the mattresses expanding to a useable size typically takes 24 hours but of course this can vary per manufacturer, some will take less time but some will take longer.

Before using your new mattress, check the specifications on the exact model you have purchased for the exact depth in inches. You can then measure the mattress to ensure it is suitable for sleeping on.

It is also advised to leave the sheets off your new mattress to help the mattress breath and 'air out', to ensure your new mattress recovers and any packaging smell can disperse.

Some mattress do indeed produce a smell whilst in the packaging, this is most commonly found with mattresses that contain memory foam or chemicals. To ensure these smell have left, it's recommended you leave the mattress to air out, however if you wanted to avoid mattress with fire retardant chemicals then head over to our Harrison Spinks range full of naturally fire retardant, chemical free beds.

Can I sleep on my pocket sprung mattress right away?

Not right away, but there's good news. If you have purchased a fully natural mattress that doesn't arrive vacuum packed and is naturally fire retardant, you'll only need to air your mattress for a few hours to allow the natural materials time to breath before fitting your sheets. However as mentioned above, if your mattress contains foam it's best to air your new purchase for a longer period of time. This means whatever material or type of mattress you buy, it should be aired properly before use.

How do I break in my new mattress?

Initially your new mattress might feel a little firm, but this is completely normal. The materials in your new mattress will need time to adjust to your body, to soften and stretch out in order to provide you the full support you require. It can take a couple of weeks for the mattress to settle, and you'll be required to take some steps to break in your new mattress.

First you'll need to let your mattress breath without any sheets fitted, laid down flat with a window slightly open to help the new mattress smell disperse.

Your existing bedframe/base will also need to be considered as your mattress will need to adjust and conform to the shape of this also. If your base is old and worn out if could negatively affect the mattresses performance. If possible, before making your purchase, you should think about whether your also need a new bedframe/base.

Once you've aired out your mattress, make sure you sleep on it every night for the first few weeks. It needs to be laid on often to help the fillings settle, this will also help both your mattress and your body adjust to one another. If your new mattress is for the spare room, please bear this in mind.

Conclusion

At the very least, your new mattress should be left to expand, reshape and air out after your delivery. If you really want to get the most comfort out of your mattress, prolong its life and have the best sleeping experience then this should be done for 24 hours before using.

This will cover all bases to ensure that whatever type of mattress you have bought has the best chance of being everything you had hoped for...and more! It's what you, and your new mattress deserve.
