The Hypnos No 10’s deep natural filling makes it a stand-out mattress. It boasts a generous 7 fleeces, or 15.7 kg, of Red Tractor, assured British wool.

It features an extra layer of sustainably sourced natural Talalay latex. This material is made from the sap of a rubber tree, it’s environmentally-friendly and more durable and responsive than its synthetic alternatives.

This premium upholstering ensures optimal cushioning and breathability that will keep this seasonal turn mattress fresh for years to come - making it a preferred inner-mattress choice amongst luxury bed specialists.

The No 10 mattress is tailored with 3 rows of genuine hand side stitching for a smart and supportive finish and is available in medium or firmer tensions, including dual tension and zip and link options. The ticking and filling are chemical-free and the mattress’ environmentally-friendly components can be broken down and recycled.

A Commitment to Sustainability and the Environment

Hypnos are committed to reducing their carbon footprint and to using environmentally friendly materials of the highest quality. In fact, they've made great strides in putting sustainability at the centre of everything they do.

From the use of renewable natural resources and carbon offsetting programmes, to supporting worthy charities, local schools and nurturing future talent, sustainability and corporate social responsibility is completely embedded within their business.

Over the last 11 years, they've undergone a comprehensive sustainability journey which led to them becoming the first carbon neutral bedmaker in the world. In fact, they're the only bed manufacturer to have held this prestigious title for nine years, having offset a total of 8748 tonnes of CO2, including 1165 tonnes in 2018/19 alone (via a variety of certified climate projects including planting trees in the UK and the Amazon plus helping to provide clean water in Uganda).

With a clear focus on low-carbon sustainable design, in support of their low energy handmaking processes, all their mattresses and beds are recyclable ensuring they never need to go to landfill. They're so committed to this that we've also pioneered the development of a disposal and recycling service for your old beds and mattresses, a service Now to Bed offer which ensures 100% of your old mattress is recycled.

In addition, they use the best materials sourced from around the world, including wool, horse hair, cotton and latex in our handcrafted beds. All these natural fibres are 100% biodegradable, recyclable at the end of their life and free of harmful and allergy-related chemicals - they do not use synthetic, chemical-based foams or memory foams in our beds.

What's more, the timber within their divan bases is from managed forests and sustainable sources that comply with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC® licence code FSC-C110890) and The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC™ licence code PEFC/16-37-1392). They've also gone the extra mile having passed the Sedex™ ethical trading audit, and with their sites in the UK achieving FSC® and PEFC™ multi-site Chain of Custody certification, guaranteeing full traceability.

Indeed, their environmental and responsible ethos stretches far beyond sustainable design, with a 'lean and green' operational culture which focuses on the minimisation of carbon emissions, energy and waste (they have eliminated factory waste to landfill, ensuring any waste goes to a recycling source). They are also the first bed maker to have successfully achieved compliance with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. This internationally-recognised voluntary certification is further proof of their sustainability leadership in the bed manufacturing industry.

They are the first bed maker to have achieved compliance with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.

They only use the best materials sourced from all around the world.

They are also compliant with ESOS (Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme) which is a structured programme of energy audits designed to lower carbon emissions by identifying energy efficiency and reduction measures. In line with this commitment, they operate our Castle Donington site on a biomass heating system as well as purchasing 100% renewable electricity for the Princes Risborough site.

We provide an expert white glove delivery service. Your bed will be delivered by expert couriers to room of choice. Assembly is available at an additional cost on selected products in the cart.
